Annie Rice is a staff photographer at the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, a part of USA Today Network. Annie earned her master's in Visual Editing in photojournalism as well as a bachelor's in multimedia photojournalism at the University of Missouri. She has worked for USA Today, the Associated Press, Reuters, CNN, ESPN, Mizzou Athletics, The Athletic and SEC Network.

Annie is an Associated Press Sports Editor first place awardee for her sports action images and a three-time Missouri Press Association recipient for her video, "Lost at Home," sports feature and photo illustration. 

Annie briefly lived overseas in Argentina and Australia and has been an avid traveler ever since.  

Annie won the "Fact Finder" award when she was in second grade. It was foreshadowing for a future passion in journalism and an eternal curiosity.
